Crocodile wrangler Matt Wright has welcomed his second child with his wife Kaia Wright!
The Outback Wrangler star shared the news in a combined post with Kaia, announcing the arrival of their daughter, Dusty Faith Wright.
“We’re so smitten & Banjo is stoked to be a big brother,” with Kaia adding, “Thank you to my beautiful Mads [for being a] real-life angel & birth partner once again. You, Matt & @drcatherinemills helped make my birth a dream.”
The pair are already parents to their son Banjo, but had been looking forward to welcoming a baby girl to their family.
The news comes after Wright’s fellow Outback Wrangler star and friend Chris “Willow” Wilson died in a helicopter crash in February this year.
The accident has been the subject of an Australian Transport Safety Bureau investigation (ATSB), which has now resulted in former senior police officer Neil Mellon and helicopter pilot Michael Burbidge being charged with multiple offences over the ATSB’s investigation.
Wilson, who was 34, was on a job collecting crocodile eggs in a remote area of west Arnhem Land when he was fatally injured in the crash. He left behind two children and his wife, Danielle.
Following Wilson’s death in February, Wright shared a touching tribute.
“Willow you truly were an amazing person – a father every kid would wish for, a husband every man would aspire to be, a son to be proud of and a mate that’s a brother,” he wrote.
“You have left an incredible legacy – you achieved so much, impacted those around you for the better and created adventures that showed everyone how to best spend our time here.”
